About the Awards

From grassroots clubs to international competitors, the Isle of Wight Sports Achievement Awards shine a spotlight on the people who make sport happen on the Island. Established more than half a century ago, the Awards are the Island’s most prestigious sporting honours, recognising not just medals and trophies but also dedication, service and the power of sport to change lives.

Each year, over 20 awards are presented, including honours for rising stars, schools, coaches, volunteers, lifetime achievement and service to sport.

Sport on the Isle of Wight is built on passion, teamwork and community spirit. These awards celebrate that spirit—acknowledging the athletes who inspire us, the volunteers who give their time freely, and the organisations that make sport accessible to everyone.
